Job Overview:

We seek a skilled Tester with expertise in the Software Testing Life Cycle and a solid understanding
of the eLearning domain. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our
eLearning products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong grasp of testing principles and
their significance throughout the project lifecycle.


Key responsibilities include designing and executing test cases, identifying and managing defects,
and collaborating closely with internal and external teams. Excellent communication skills are
essential to facilitate effective collaboration and ensure alignment with project goals.

Job Profile:

  • Analyze the project requirements and scope from the documentation provided and translate them into Quality Specifications and Quality checklists.
  • Testing of key deliverables of the project, including base player, templates, and final onscreen version of products for accuracy, compliance and desired eLearning outcome.
  • Coordinate with technology, design and ID team to arrive at ideal quality solutions for various conflicting suggestions during the project production process.
  • Create Test plans and QA checklists for continuous improvement of the projects.
  • Analyze project process and aim to change project processes for production efficiency

Job Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for eLearning applications and platforms. Collaborate with stakeholders and project team to define testing objectives and scope.
  • Test Case Design and Execution: Create, review, and execute test cases based on functional specifications and user requirements. Ensure test coverage for various learning modules, assessments, and user interfaces.
  • Defect Management: Identify, log, and track defects using issue tracking tools. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of defects.
  • User Experience (UX) Testing: Evaluate the user experience and usability of eLearning products. Provide feedback on UI design and functionality from a testing perspective.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, instructional designers, and product managers. Facilitate regular meetings to discuss testing progress, issues, and solutions.
  • Mentoring and Training: Mentor junior testers and provide training on testing methodologies and tools. Share best practices and promote a culture of quality within the team.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to industry standards and compliance requirements related to eLearning, such as SCORM and accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and suggest enhancements to testing practices and tools. Stay updated with the latest trends in eLearning technologies and testing methodologies.

Education and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Manual testing of eLearning domain
  • Proficiency in Compatibility testing
  • Proficiency in Localization testing
  • Proficiency in Accessibility testing
  • Proficiency in writing the Test Cases/Scenario and creating the QA checklists as per the project requirements
  • Strong understanding of the eLearning processes and standards
  • Strong understanding of LMS Standards (SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, AICC)
  • Strong management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of Authoring tools – Captivate, Lectora, Storyline, Rise, Mohive, Elucidat and other Articulate based courseware tools and their limitations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
  • Additional certification in related fields are preferable
  • Consistent academic record (at least 50%-60% at all levels of education)
  • 6– 8 years’ experience in field of eLearning
